Ambassadors Initiative(LAI)
The LAI targets
both young females in high schools and colleges as well as young career
women. The program for the young career women will emphasize:
capacity-building activities such as training seminars for self-development,
access to informational
resources, creating opportunities
for role playing, including mentoring.
building and sustaining a lifetime network of young women leaders whose
tie to one another, as well as to their
country, will support continuing personal growth and understanding that
promotes productivity, progress
and peace.
The objective of the youth program is to:
develop a new generation of community-spirited women ambassadors with
effective leadership skills, and with
the capacity, drive, and inspiration to transform lives, as well as
advance their communities.
provide leadership education, training and development for youth to
expand a persons deep knowledge of ones
self, and their relationship with the broader environment, enabling
them to engage in leadership process
in various contexts.
promote the philosophy of ethical leadership, civic engagement, social
responsibility, global
consciousness.
The approach will be built on awareness creation, learning, exploring, role playing, relationship building, mentoring, sharing, gathering and propagating knowledge. Our program demands accountability from participants who will be expected to play important ambassadorial leadership roles in their communities.
Our goal is to empower
participants so that through their roles as change agents, influence
institutions and citizens to embrace progressive values for the advancement
of societies and peace. Our goal is to train the trainer.
